Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratyev outlined major growth plans for the region's resort industry, one of its most investment-friendly sectors.
«The spa and resort sector consistently leads the Southern Federal District in attracting capital every year. Thanks to deals signed at the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, we currently have 76 projects underway with a total investment of 865 billion rubles,» Kondratyev said. «These will create 32,000 new jobs and add 55,000 rooms in modern, comfortable hotels, sanatoriums, and children’s health resorts. We're also focusing on improving service quality and developing alternative holiday options. For instance, we plan to open a tourism cluster featuring hotels, vineyards, and an eco-park.»
At the recent St. Petersburg investment forum in June 2025, agreements were reached to build a hotel complex and sanatorium in Sochi; a tourism cluster in Gelendzhik; and three premium wellness and leisure facilities in Goryachiy Klyuch, Mostovskoy District, and the Gelendzhik village of Kabardinka. In Anapa, investors plan to develop a family-friendly wellness center, three five-star hotels, and a children's camp.
Over the past decade, Kuban's resort industry has seen 25 investment projects worth nearly 21 billion rubles completed. Notable new facilities include the City Mira, Fyunf, and Beton Brut hotels in Anapa, the White Sails water park, the Anapchanka boarding house, and the Jungle Book theme park. Gelendzhik welcomed the Primorye hotel complex; Novorossiysk now has Hilton Garden Inn and Abrau Light hotels. The Lavicon hotel in Tuapse district has moved into the second phase of construction, and Slavyansk district opened the Priazovye balneotherapy clinic.
In 2025, the new building of the all-season spa resort Miracleon in Anapa welcomed its first guests. By the end of the year, a five-star hotel complex in Anapa, the Kristall sanatorium, and a new spa wing of the Grand Carat hotel in Sochi will open, along with a five-star hotel in Arkhipo-Osipovka and a cluster of four-star hotels in Temryuk district.
