Tourist potential of the Krasnodar Region presented at an international exhibition in Qatar

The Discover Russia collective stand, representing the Russian Federation at the Qatar Travel Mart 2025 in Doha, served as a platform for showcasing new initiatives and tourism products from the Krasnodar Region to Persian Gulf countries.

«Tourism is one of the key areas of cooperation with Arab countries. The influx of tourists from the Persian Gulf countries to the Krasnodar Region is consistently growing. During the exhibition, representatives of the region's tourism industry established partnerships to further promote the region's resorts in the Middle Eastern market. We presented a thorough overview of the region's tourism opportunities and had productive discussions with representatives of companies and authorities in Qatar regarding the collaborative promotion of tourism products,» said Inna Petukhova, Deputy Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage of the Krasnodar Region.

Qatar Travel Mart is the key platform for the global travel industry. The exhibition in Doha showcases the latest trends in tourism, business, culture, and leisure.

The Discover Russia stand by the Centre for Strategic Research showcased the national tourism brand. The stand featured ten Russian regions and 14 partner companies, which had prepared special offers for the participants of the exhibition. During the event, several hundred business meetings were held with Qatari and Middle Eastern tour operators.

The Krasnodar Region currently has three airports: in Sochi, Krasnodar, and Gelendzhik. The region continues to cooperate with international airlines. In 2025, Sochi Airport welcomed new flights by six carriers from the UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, and Uzbekistan.
