The Krasnodar Krai authorities are aiming to attract at least 600 billion roubles of investments to their region and implement 100 large investment projects in 2022, according to Alexander Ruppel, Deputy Head of the Krasnodar Krai Administration.
Ruppel noted that the implementation of investment projects would allow generating more than 3,000 new jobs.
He also noted that in 2022 the Krasnodar Krai authorities were planning to boost the non-resource exports up to $5 billion. In addition, Ruppel said that the authorities of the region are aiming to achieve at least 4,7% growth of industry, to increase the capital of the Industrial Development Fund by 1 billion roubles, and to put 2 new industrial parks on the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In late December, the Krasnodar Krai authorities reported that they had managed to increase the share of non-resource and non-energy exports from 37% in 2015 to 71%. According to the authorities of the region, in total the non-resource exports for nine months of 2021 accounted for about $3.7 billion.
The economic potential of the Krasnodar Krai is based on agroindustrial, fuel and energy, transportation, and resort and recreation complexes, as well as mechanical engineering, forestry, woodworking and furniture production, and building materials industry.
