Krasnodar Region ranks among leaders in Discover Your Russia inbound tourism development program

An expert panel rated the readiness of 65 regions to welcome international tourists, naming Krasnodar Region among the top 25.

«Krasnodar has strong potential for expanding not only domestic but also inbound tourism. Priority markets for cooperation include the Gulf Arab countries, China, India, Belarus, and other Asian nations. Regional tourism professionals actively promote our resorts internationally through participation in business missions and trade events. Under the Discover Russia brand, we created the project Krasnodar Region  Kuban hospitality targeting foreign visitors,» said Mikhail Zaritsky, Acting Minister of Resorts, Tourism, and Olympic Heritage.

The expert panel of Discover Your Russia program includes senior officials fr om federal bodies, development institutes, major infrastructure companies, top tour operators, hotel chains, education providers, and digital platforms.

The next stage involves an educational program, with results announced in November in Moscow wh ere regions will present tourism offerings. Ten finalists will be selected for comprehensive support such as participation in international tourism fairs, foreign market promotion, and additional assistance. The final event features the media initiative Unbelievable adventures of foreigners in Russia, backed by Rossotrudnichestvo. Foreign tour operators, bloggers, and influencers will explore and test the routes of regions in the final round.
