According to the survey carried out by the Colliers International Company in the third quarter of 2015 among the 50 key fashion-retailers, Krasnodar has won the first place among cities with a population of up to 1 million people that are of interest for the development and expansion.
According to the RBC-Yug News Agency, the interest to Krasnodar from the retailers is explained with a more stable economic situation in the south of Russia than in the whole country. As it was noted by experts polled, in particular, an industrial production has influenced the situation by showing a much greater stability and growth in the south compared to many regions of the country. The high population density and economic development are a great advantage for retailers to develop their brands in the south.
As concerns the actual retailers, the worsening of economic relations with Western countries has increased an interest in the Russian market for brands from the Middle East, for example, Turkey. According to Colliers International, such Turkish brands as Colin’s, LC Waikiki, Mavi and Koton are actively developing in Russia today; the DeFacto Company made public of its plans for the opening of the first stores this year.
